Guwahati: In a tragic turn of events, a labourer was electrocuted by a live wire in Nalbari district of Assam on Friday, leaving him dead and two others injured.
The incident took place in Bardhantali area of Nalbari.
According to reports, the incident occurred while the workers were atop an electrical pole. Two of them had severe burn injuries, and one of them passed away instantly.
Reportedly, the injured duo was taken immediately for treatment to the nearby clinic after the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Lalsau Ali, a resident of South Singra.
Later, police arrived the scene and recovered the body for post mortem.
