Assam: Labourer Found Dead under Mysterious Circumstances at Coal Mine in Ledo

Guwahati, 13th February: A labourer, identified as Kancha, was discovered dead at a coal mine in Ledo, Tinsukia district, Assam, on Tuesday, according to sources.

The worker’s demise occurred under mysterious circumstances while he was engaged in transporting coal at Lalmati in Ledo.

Fellow workers at the mine reported finding his body abandoned at the foothill early in the morning. Promptly, the Ledo Police were notified about the incident and swiftly reached the scene. Upon their arrival, the body, now under police custody, was recovered.

At present, the whereabouts of the individuals who abandoned Kancha’s body remain unknown. Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the labourer’s untimely demise.
