Guwahati, 4th May: A land-related dispute in Nagaon took a grave turn as a woman was seriously injured during a heated altercation involving three individuals.
Rashida Begum, a resident of the area, has been hospitalized at Nagaon Medical College following the incident. Allegedly, Rashida was attacked by Nazrul Islam, Salam, and Akram, who allegedly sought to take over her husband’s land.
During the altercation, Rashida and the son of another woman named Sajida were also reportedly assaulted. Rashida sustained injuries requiring medical attention at Nagaon Medical College, where she is currently receiving treatment.
In response to the violence, Rashida has appealed for intervention from both the Chief Minister and the Nagaon District Administration. She seeks justice and appropriate punishment for those responsible for the attack. This incident highlights the pressing need to address land disputes and ensure the safety of residents in the region.
