Assam Launches Special Recruitment Drive for SSA Teachers

Nalbari, June 27: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a significant recruitment initiative under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) during a cabinet briefing today. The state aims to fill 35,000 new teaching positions exclusively through this special recruitment drive.

Addressing the media, CM Sarma highlighted the ongoing discussions about regularizing current SSA teacher positions. The new drive not only invites applications for the newly created posts but also encourages existing SSA teachers seeking permanent roles to apply.

“We are committed to enhancing the quality of education across Assam,” said Sarma, emphasizing that the recruitment drive aims to streamline the regularization process within 4 to 5 months. This approach is designed to address longstanding concerns regarding job security and career prospects for SSA teachers in the state.
