Assam Leaders Extend Holi Wishes, Emphasise Unity and Harmony
Guwahati: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma have extended their warmest wishes to the people of Assam on the occasion of Holi.
Acharya appealed to the people to celebrate this festival with devotion and harmony, making Assam proud by embracing its unique cultural heritage.
The Governor highlighted the significance of Holi, describing it as a “sacred festival of colours, enthusiasm and heartfelt gaiety”. He also mentioned that the Raj Bhavan celebrated a ‘Holi Milan Samaroh’ on the eve of Holi. In a post on X, Acharya wished everyone a happy Fakuwa and Daulotsav, emphasising that Holi is a symbol of love, harmony, and spiritual consciousness.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also offered his heartfelt wishes to everyone on the occasion of Doul Utsav. He expressed his desire for the festival of colours to bring joy, prosperity, and abundance to everyone’s lives, seeking the blessings of Sri Krishna.
