Assam: Leopard Found Dead in Tinsukia’s Talap Area

Guwahati, 18th December: In a tragic incident, a lifeless leopard was spotted at Talap, within the Saikhowa Forest Range under Doomdooma Forest Division in Tinsukia on Monday. The leopard’s carcass was located on the railway track adjacent to the 37th National Highway.

Local residents suspect that the leopard’s untimely demise occurred due to a collision with an unsuspecting vehicle while attempting to cross the highway.

Forest department officials swiftly responded to the situation, reaching the scene promptly. The deceased leopard has been transported to the Saikhowa Forest Range for further examination and necessary procedures.
