Assam: Leopard Injures Six People, Including Children In Jorhat
Guwahati: A leopard has unleashed a neighbourhood in the Jorhat district of Assam on Monday, inflicting at least six injuries on those who were nearby.
The incident was reported near Rain Forest Research Institute.
Reports claim that the enraged leopard initially assaulted a family in the Sotai area of the district, which consisted of a father, mother and their two children.
Upon receiving information, the forest officials rushed to the area armed with rifles and firecrackers to drive the leopard out of the neighbourhood.
They informed that two forest officials had been injured during the incident.
Meanwhile, the injured were immediately rushed for medical care to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH).
