Assam: Livestock Poisoning Incident in Abhayapuri Devastates Local Farmers

Guwahati, July 10: In Abhayapuri, Assam’s Bongaigaon district, a cow and four goats were killed after miscreants poisoned the animals, leaving local farmers devastated. Sevan Roy, the owner of the cow, and Kanak Chandra Roy, the owner of the goats, have urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to prevent such incidents from recurring.

The affected residents, who rely on livestock for their livelihood, demanded swift action to identify and punish those responsible. The poisoning has posed a significant threat to their means of livelihood, and further investigation is underway to find the culprits.
