Assam: Locals Rescued 10-Foot Python in Goalpara

Guwahati, 8th July: Residents of Dhupdhara in Goalpara district showcased exceptional courage and teamwork last night when they successfully rescued a 10-foot-long python. The dramatic rescue unfolded when local fishermen, while netting a pit, encountered the large snake, sparking immediate concern.

Upon spotting the python, the fishermen alerted nearby residents, who swiftly assembled at the scene. With coordinated efforts, they managed to corner and capture the python using a fishing net.

News of the rescue quickly spread throughout the area, drawing curious bystanders who gathered to witness the captured reptile. The unexpected appearance of the python and its subsequent rescue became a focal point of community discussion.

Upon receiving notification, officials from the Rangjuli Forest Department promptly responded. They safely took custody of the python and assured the public that the snake would be released back into its natural habitat in the forest, ensuring the safety of both the python and local residents.
