Assam: Maha Mrityunjay Temple in Nagaon damaged in earthquake
- Minor damage has been reported in the Maha Mrityunjay Temple in Assam’s Nagaon district in the earthquake that rocked the State on Wednesday morning.
- Cracks have reportedly developed in the upper part of the Maha Mrityunjay Temple.

- A massive earthquake jolted Assam and other Northeast States on Wednesday morning.
- The earthquake measured 6.7 in the richter scale.
- The earthquake was felt at 7:51 am Wednesday.
- Epicenter of the earthquake was Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district of Assam and happened at a depth of just 10 kilometres.
- Damages to property and cracks developing on buildings has been reported from several locations across Assam.
- A middle-aged man from Guwahati’s Bhetapara sustained injury in the earthquake and has been admitted to the Dispur Hospital.
- The Assam State Disaster Management Authority has released two toll free numbers for public to report damages caused due to the earthquake.
