Guwahati: In a swift and decisive operation that unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, Tinsukia Police apprehended controversial mobile phone trader Majid Akhtar, widely known as Miki. The surprise raid, conducted at his Hijuguri residence, culminated in Akhtar being taken into custody, sending ripples through the local community that had been vocal in its opposition to his alleged activities.
Police sources confirmed that during the intensive search, a special team from Tinsukia Police successfully recovered two lethal weapons from Akhtar’s premises.
