Guwahati: In a decisive strike against narcotics trafficking, Bongaigaon police executed a successful raid in the Deohati region, falling under the jurisdiction of Abhayapuri.
The meticulously planned operation resulted in the confiscation of sixteen containers believed to be laden with heroin. Authorities also impounded a tempo vehicle bearing the registration number AS 26C 6974 from the scene.
Law enforcement apprehended three individuals in connection with this significant seizure. The arrested individuals have been identified as Afzal Khan, Khalek Ali, and Samer Ali, all hailing from the neighboring Chirang district.
The police have indicated that the investigation is ongoing, with efforts underway to uncover any further connections and dismantle the broader network involved in this drug trafficking operation within the region.
