Assam: Major Fire Erupts in Bongaigaon District, Leaving Trail of Destruction
Assam: A devastating fire broke out near Balarpet Tiniali Bazaar in Bongaigaon district, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The blaze, which is believed to have been triggered by an electrical short circuit, completely destroyed three homes and a tempo vehicle.
The affected homes belonged to Samed Ali, Suleman Ali, and Rafiqul Islam, all of whom suffered total destruction of their properties. The fire caused significant damage, with property losses estimated at approximately Rs 30 lakh.
Thanks to the swift action of firefighters, supported by local residents, the flames were prevented from spreading to the nearby market area, averting further devastation. Police personnel from the Borghola Police Outpost were also present at the scene, conducting an inspection and ensuring the situation remained under control.
