Assam: Major fire erupts in Lumding, several houses gutted
Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in Lumding town of Assam’s Hojai district on February 12.
The fire broke out on the charge road of Last Colony in Harulongpher.
However, four railway houses and four commercial establishments were gutted in the fire.
Locals said the fire broke out from a business establishment in the area around 4.30 am.
Four railway houses of A B C D in H-33 block of colony were gutted. More than 40 lakh properties are suspected to have been gutted in fire.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
There have been no reports of anyone getting injured in the incident.
