Guwahati, 29th October: A significant fire incident occurred in the Madhurbond Khilgaon area of Silchar on Saturday night, wreaking havoc at the residence of Sahin Aktar Majumdar.
Preliminary reports indicate that the fire resulted from a short circuit at Sahin Aktar Majumdar’s house on Saturday night, causing extensive damage to the entire house and reducing important documents to ashes.
Local residents quickly noticed the massive fire and promptly alerted the fire brigade. The fire engine rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze. Unfortunately, parts of the house owner Sahin Aktar Majumdar’s property also caught fire.
The estimated loss due to the fire is reported to be around Rs 10 lakh. This incident highlights the importance of fire safety and the potential consequences of electrical faults.
