Assam: A haunting silence has enveloped the life of a young man from Barpeta district, Assam. Raja Taleb, also known as Taleb Ali, has been mysteriously missing in Manipur for over a month and a half.
Despite filing multiple complaints in Barpeta and Guwahati, the family claims that Assam Police has been unresponsive to their pleas.
Raja, along with three friends, ventured to Manipur. While his companions returned safely, he remains captive. The family received a chilling phone call from alleged abductors demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh.
To further instill fear, they shared a distressing video depicting Raja’s torture. The family, unable to fulfill the exorbitant demand, is now grappling with uncertainty and despair.
Repeated appeals and formal complaints to Assam Police have yielded no significant results. The family, left in the dark about Raja’s fate, is urging authorities to take immediate action to secure his release. The agonizing wait for news has cast a shadow of fear and desperation over their lives.
