Assam: A man, allegedly suffering from mental illness, has been arrested for the brutal murders of his father and brother in South Pukhuripur, Boko, on November 10.
The accused, Kartik Raja Rabha (32), struck his father, Moniram Rabha (60), and his brother, Devjit Rabha (30), on their heads with a stick, causing fatal injuries.
Moniram died at the scene, while Devjit was declared dead after being rushed to the local hospital. Sources indicate that Moniram attempted to intervene and protect his son from attacking his brother but was overpowered.
Kartik, who had been dealing with mental health issues for several years, carried out the attack early in the morning. He was arrested by local police while en route to Boko. Authorities are investigating the circumstances, including Kartik’s mental health history and the emergency response.
