Guwahati, 28th March: In a troubling incident, a man was apprehended for allegedly covertly recording a young woman while she bathed in her rented accommodation in Guwahati’s Hatigaon area on Thursday.
The victim noticed the intrusion and raised an alarm, prompting neighbors to rush to her aid. They managed to detain the perpetrator until law enforcement arrived at the scene.
The accused, identified as Semim Akhtar from Kolkata, was subsequently handed over to the Hatigaon police for further investigation.
Legal proceedings are underway as authorities delve into the matter to ensure justice for the victim and appropriate action against the perpetrator.
