Guwahati: Assam Police on Wednesday arrested a man in connection for allegedly stabbing a 20-year-old youth identified as Issad Ali to death over a game of Ludo last Sunday evening.
The arrestee identified as Afzat Ali who is a resident of North Lakhimpur.
According to reports, Afzat Ali along with five others including the victim were playing Ludo when the former got into a dispute with Issad, resulting in a physical confrontation between the two.
Issad was supposedly fatally stabbed during the fight after which he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Following the incident, accused Afzat Ali allegedly fled from the spot.
It may be mentioned that Ali was arrested from Mohghuli, in Naoboicha under Lakhimpur district today.
