Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly beheaded his wife and walked into the police station with the severed head to surrender before the police in Lakhimpur district of Assam.
The incident took place at the Kashi Pathar village in Lilabari of the district.
The deceased woman has been identified as Faizula Begum and the accused husband as Moinul Ali.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, the husband is suspected of committing such a terrible act due to family disputes.
It needs to be noted that Moinul is currently in police custody.
However, the motive of the murder is yet to be ascertained and further investigation into the matter is underway.
