Guwahati, 17th May: In a tragic incident, a man was allegedly run over by a train in Nagaon district of Assam in the early hours of Friday.
The accident occurred on the Birah-Bebejia railway track in Nagaon.
As per sources, the incident took place when a train heading towards Lower Assam allegedly hit the man, leading to his untimely demise.
Following the incident, railway police immediately responded to the scene and recovered the body for post-mortem.
Sources further informed that the man was found in a severely mutilated state.
At this time, the identity of the deceased remains unknown.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
