Assam: Man Lynched in Cachar District By Drunk Mob

Guwahati, 9th November: In a shocking incident, a man was allegedly lynched to death by five intoxicated individuals in Cachar district of Assam.

The incident was reported from Barmanda village.

The deceased has been identified as Krishnadhan Singha who hailed from Sonai’s Kaptanpur.

The five accused, who were reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked Krishnadhan following a simple argument on a Wednesday night.

Local police officials immediately took the five young men into custody, and an investigation is currently underway.

Initial reports suggest that alcohol may have played a significant role in the violent incident.
