Assam: Man surrenders after killing girlfriend in Rangia
Guwahati, 18th May: In a shocking incident that has surprised the staff officials of Rangia police station after a young man walked in and confessed that he had killed his girlfriend named Sonia Begum also known as Majni.
The accused has been identified as Tafiqul Ali.
As per sources, the couple had already signed a marriage agreement six months ago and was set to get married soon.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police officials recovered the Sonia’s body.
Officials informed that Sonia’s body was dumped near the Nona River on the Rangiya-Nalbari border.
As per initial reports, Tafiqul Ali and Sonia Begum were deeply in love and had formalized their relationship with their families’ consent.
It needs to mention that police officials are currently questioning Taficul Ali to understand the motive behind the crime.
Meanwhile, Sonia Begum’s family is devastated by the loss of their daughter.
Notably, the shocking incident has left the local community in disbelief.
Moreover, the case remains under investigation as authorities continue to gather evidence and statements from witnesses to piece together the events leading to this tragic outcome.
