Assam: Man Trampled to Death by Wild Elephant in Baksa

Guwahati, 8th October: In another tragic incident of man-animal conflict in Assam, one person lost his life after being trampled by a wild elephant in Baksa district of the state.

The incident occurred in the Barikadanga area when the victim, identified as Biswajit Kalita, attempted to chase the wild elephant away.

Unfortunately, his efforts led to a fatal encounter with the elephant.

The body of the deceased has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination as authorities continue to grapple with the persistent issue of human-wildlife conflict in the region.
