Guwahati, 24th March: In a recent development, Guwahati Police apprehended an individual with a gunshot wound to his leg from a guesthouse located in the Borbari area of the city on March 23.
Acting on intelligence inputs, a swift operation led to the arrest of Lunmi Sei (35) from Churachandpur, Manipur. Initial reports indicate Sei’s involvement in a previous shooting incident in his hometown.
It is speculated that Sei sought refuge in Guwahati to receive medical attention following the attack.
Responding promptly, Guwahati Police transferred Sei to GMCH (Gauhati Medical College and Hospital) for urgent medical care.
Authorities are currently investigating potential links between Sei and an extremist organization, adding complexity to the ongoing investigation.
