Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in Nagaon district of Assam on Sunday evening.
The incident took place at Simaluguri area of the district.
According to reports, the fire broke out at the residence of a man named Abdul Mazid.
The house was completely gutted in the massive fire.
Reportedly, the fire was doused after tireless efforts by the local residents of the area. Despite the fact that the fire department was notified, they were unable to reach Mazid’s home because there is no accessible road for vehicles to drive through.
It needs to be noted that worth lakhs of rupees and all necessary documents were reportedly engulfed in the fire.
However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
It may be mentioned that there were no casualties or injuries reported in the incident.
