Assam: Massive Fire Breaks Out In Bokajan, 2 Families Rendered Homeless
Guwahati, 11th March: One shop and a residential house were turned to ashes after a massive fire broke out in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on March 11.
A fire broke out at a residential property owned by one Sanjeev Kulo in Diphu’s Bokajan under Khatkhati Police Station.
As per sources, the inferno engulfed a shop house owned by Sanjeev Kulo, along with two rooms occupied by tenants Jonali Brahma and Kajal Terangpi, reducing them to ashes in a matter of minutes.
However, there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the incident.
Sources further informed that property worth around Rs 5 lakh is suspected to have been gutted in the fire.
The fire is suspected to be ignited by an electrical short circuit. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Later, a team of Bokajan fire brigade reached the spot and managed to douse the fire.
