Assam: A devastating fire erupted in the Goraimari area of Bongaigaon district late on December 13th, around 9:30 PM, causing substantial property damage.
The inferno engulfed a scrap shop owned by Kesmat Ali and a nearby paddy godown belonging to Abdul Karim.
Firefighters swiftly responded to the scene, battling the flames and successfully preventing further spread. While the incident resulted in significant material losses, authorities confirmed that there were no casualties reported.
Preliminary investigations suggest an electrical short circuit as the probable cause of the fire. The situation is currently under control, and local authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
