Assam: Massive Fire Ravages Home in Jagun Amidst Rongali Bihu Celebrations

Guwahati, 17th April: Tragedy struck Jagun’s Lakla Kankan village early morning on April 17 as a massive fire tore through a house, leaving devastation in its wake and destroying property worth lakhs.

Amidst the joyous celebrations of Rongali Bihu across the state, Manoh Shungkrang of Jagun faced a harrowing ordeal when fire engulfed his house on April 17. While no injuries were reported, the blaze inflicted significant damage, estimated to be worth approximately Rs 3 lakh.

Despite the delay, the fire brigade eventually arrived at the scene and worked diligently to extinguish the flames, successfully bringing the situation under control.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, leaving the community grappling with questions and concerns amidst the festive season.
