Guwahati: In a yet another horrifying incident, a man was severely injured after being allegedly attacked with machete by a meat seller in Biswanath district of Assam over a pretty issue.
The incident was reported from Rongamati village of the district.
The victim has been identified as one Prashanta Boro.
According to reports, Boro and the meat vendor got into a fight over just Rs 30. Things rapidly descended into chaos, and the meat vendor eventually pulled out his machete and attacked Boro, resulting in him getting critically injured.
Locals quickly sent the injured man to a nearby hospital for treatment. Later, due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to Tezpur Medical College Hospital (TMCH).
Later, Biswanath police arrived on the scene and detained the alleged meat vendor.
The accused meat seller has been identified as Mani.
