Guwahati, 2nd July: A disturbing incident unfolded in Karimganj, Assam, on July 1, as a mentally ill woman was allegedly molested by a group of miscreants. Sources revealed that the victim, found wandering the streets, was forcibly taken by the perpetrators in an autorickshaw during the night, leading to her harassment.
Upon receiving information about the heinous crime, Superintendent of Police Partha Pratim Das took swift and decisive action.
