Assam Minister Atul Bora Mourns the Passing of Former Mankachar Legislator Hosenara Islam

Guwahati, 17th June: Assam Minister Atul Bora took to social media platform X to express his profound sadness at the passing of former legislator Hosenara Islam from the Mankachar constituency. In a heartfelt tweet, Minister Bora conveyed his condolences, stating, “Deeply saddened by the demise of the former legislator of Mankachar constituency, Hosenara Islam. Her passing away is a big loss for society. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her son AGP leader Shri Zabed Islam and other members of the bereaved family. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.”

Hosenara Islam was a respected figure in Indian politics, having been elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly from Mankachar during the 2001 elections under the banner of the Nationalist Congress Party. Her contributions to public service and her significant role in regional politics are remembered fondly, marking her legacy in the political landscape of Assam.
