Assam Minister Atul Bora Mourns the Passing of Former Mankachar Legislator Hosenara Islam
Guwahati, 17th June: Assam Minister Atul Bora took to social media platform X to express his profound sadness at the passing of former legislator Hosenara Islam from the Mankachar constituency. In a heartfelt tweet, Minister Bora conveyed his condolences, stating, “Deeply saddened by the demise of the former legislator of Mankachar constituency, Hosenara Islam. Her passing away is a big loss for society. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her son AGP leader Shri Zabed Islam and other members of the bereaved family. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.”
Hosenara Islam was a respected figure in Indian politics, having been elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly from Mankachar during the 2001 elections under the banner of the Nationalist Congress Party.
