Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika Urges Youth To Adopt Fishery At Fish Fair in Guwahati

Guwahati: Assam water resources minister Pijush Hazarika attended the first Fish Fair on Sunday in Guwahati and urged the young people to get involved in the fishing industry.

The cabinet minister attended the ground-breaking event at Ganesh Mandir Indoor Stadium. He also handles the portfolios of legislative affairs, information and public relations, printing and stationery, and social justice and empowerment.

On the occasion of National Fish Farmers Day, the event was organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Fishermen Cell in Assam, Hazarika informed via Twitter.

He wrote, “Attended the inaugural ceremony of Fish Fair today in Ganesh Mandir Indoor Stadium, Ghy, organised by @BJP4Assam Fishermen Cell on the occasion of National Fish Farmers Day.”

The state minister advised the youth to start a fisheries business in an effort to empower themselves.

“Hailing from the family of fish farmers,I urge the youth to get self-empowered by adopting fishery business,” he wrote on Twitter.
