Guwahati, 19th October: A shocking incident has came to light at a rehabilitation center in Guwahati, where serious allegations have been made against a senior female employee, a caretaker at the facility, for months of physical assault and mental torture inflicted upon one of the inmates undergoing treatment there.
The incident was reported from the Peace Wellness Foundation located in Guwahati’s Japorigog. The victim in question is a class XI student from Mangaldoi.
As per the victim’s allegations, she endured severe physical and mental abuse at the hands of one of the senior employees at the rehabilitation center over a span of three to four months.
The victim took to social media to share her harrowing experience, revealing, “I was receiving treatment at a rehab center in Guwahati. One of the employees subjected me to various forms of torture. Despite having a person who was like a father figure to me, I was wrongly accused of an inappropriate relationship with him. Unable to endure the torture, I persuaded my father to bring me back home. However, once I returned, my condition deteriorated, and I was readmitted to the same wellness center.”
She continued, “This time, the abuse began right from my home. The senior employee and another woman came to pick me up. I was slapped throughout the journey from Mangaldoi to Guwahati. For almost three months, I endured brutal beatings and inhumane treatment.”
This shocking revelation has sparked concern and demands for a thorough investigation into the matter.
