Guwahati: A minor schoolgirl in Nagaon district of Assam was allegedly raped over the course of two days by six men, officials informed on Thursday.
The superintendent of Nagaon BP Civil Hospital Dr. L C Nath informed that a youth in a semi-conscious state had brought the 16-year-old girl in an e-rickshaw.
He said, “We have started our medical investigation and she is receiving therapy.”
Meanwhile, a case was registered at the Nagaon Civil Hospital Police Outpost and an investigation was initiated into the matter, a senior official said.
While addressing to media at the hospital, the girl said that she was kidnapped by some criminals on Tuesday when she was waiting for an e-rickshaw to take her home from school.
She said, “They drove me to an unknown location and tied my lips, hands, and legs. I was imprisoned for two days and repeatedly raped by a total of six people.”
