Assam: Minor seeks Justice for Father’s Murder

Guwahati: A video of a four year old boy from Assam is doing rounds on Social media where he has shown seeking justice for his dead father.

The boy named Rizwan Sahid Laskar appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister, Amit Shah and the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma for justice after his father’s murder more than before four years.

According to reports his father Saidul Alom Laskar was killed in Sichar town of Assam’s Cachar district on 26 December, 2016.

He posted a video on Twitter holding a poster in his hand read, ‘ I Want Justice’. Starting the video with a good morning wish to Prime Minister, Home Minister and state’s Chief Minister Rizwan first gave his introduction and claimed that when he was just three month old, his father was killed by 11 militants on 26 December, 2016 (Case No 121/2017).

Thanking the ministers he further requested all the three ministers to look into the matter and give justice to him and his family.

Police personnel said that his father was a contractor and he was allegedly killed by the sand mafia nearby his office.

Earlier a complaint was also filed in Cachar district by Saidul’s wife Jannatul Ferdousy Laskar accusing 11 people for their alleged involvement in her husband’s murder, reports claimed.

Talking to media Jannatul claimed that the accused had used weapons like iron rod to kill her husband. Cachar Police have arrested nine of the accused but the two among them are yet to be arrested, she added.

It may be mentioned that Rizwan was helped by his uncle Mohidul Hoque Laskar to open a Twitter account and upload the video to seek justice.
