Assam: Miscreants Loot Over Rs 5 Lakh from CRPF Jawan in Morigaon Ahead of Durga Puja
Guwahati, 19th October: In a shocking incident that took place ahead of Durga Puja in Assam’s Morigaon, miscreants looted a substantial sum of money exceeding Rs 5 lakh.
The incident occurred on October 19 when a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan identified as one Mridul Kumar Nath, currently on leave from his Srinagar duty station, withdrew a significant amount of Rs 5,40,000 from a local bank.
While en route to Gohain Market, the unfortunate incident transpired in Gohain village, ward no. 5 in Morigaon town.
Upon receiving about the incident, local authorities and the Morigaon police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
