Assam: Missing Vegetable vendor Found Dead in Brahmaputra Amid Ongoing Flood Crisis
Guwahati, 2nd July: In a tragic turn of events amidst the relentless flood situation in Laonkhowa, the body of Singhbir Chettri, a vegetable vendor from Budhachapri revenue village, was discovered in the Brahmaputra river today.
Chettri had been reported missing since Monday evening after failing to return home from Tezpur, navigating through the heavily flooded Laonkhowa area. The severe and persistent flood conditions had hampered search efforts, prolonging concerns among villagers and authorities.
