Assam: Mortal Remains of Elderly Woman Found Buried in Mankachar
Guwahati, 19th October: In a shocking incident, the mortal remains of an elderly woman were found in Mankachar of Assam on October 19.
The incident occurred at Okrabari village in Assam’s Mankachar.
As per sources of MyNewsNe, The body of the elderly woman was found buried in the ground at her son-in-law’s residence.
The deceased woman was identified as 60-year-old Majime Khatun, the wife of Jamir Uddin Sheikh and a resident of Uruamari village.
As per available information, the woman had been missing since October 17, prompting her daughter to file a complaint related to her disappearance.
In response to the complaint, the police initiated a search operation.
Their suspicions led them to dig a pit within the residence of the son-in-law, where they recovered the deceased woman’s body.
Reportedly, the son-in-law, identified as Manowar Hussain, and his family have fled the scene and are currently on the run, as per officials.
