Assam moving ahead on highway of progress: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati, 15th February: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to microblogging site X on February 15 to commend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for driving significant progress in the state’s road expansion and connectivity.

In his X post, CM Sarma stated, “Assam is forging ahead on the path of progress. Over the past 10 years, there has been a remarkable transformation in Assam under the guidance of Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and the efforts of Honorable Union Minister Shri @nitin_gadkari ji. The expansion of roads, improvement in connectivity, boost to the state’s economy, and the welfare of citizens are evident.”

Sarma emphasized PM Modi’s instrumental role in bringing about substantial changes in Assam and facilitating transformative development projects that have significantly enhanced the state’s economy.

Assam has witnessed numerous road and highway projects gaining momentum, with the construction of new roads and expansion of highway connectivity being notable achievements.

In a recent milestone, the strategic National Highway 29 underwent renovation and expansion, with a four-lane road expansion and the laying of a 15-kilometer stretch, benefiting the people of the state.
