Guwahati: In a tragic incident, one youth lost his life after falling under the wheels of a tractor in Sonitpur district of Assam today.
The deceased has been identified as Akashish Orang, a resident of Mainajuli Tea Garden in Mangaldai district.
The incident occurred while Orang was riding the tractor to plow a field.
According to sources, Orang’s leg slipped while he was riding the tractor, causing him to fall under the vehicle’s wheels. The tractor’s wheel ran over his body, resulting in fatal injuries.
Following the incident, locals immediately rushed Orang to the primary health centre using a 108 ambulance.
Upon arrival, he was declared dead by the doctor.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with friends and family members mourning the loss of youth.
