Guwahati: A moving dumper truck caught fire in the middle of the road on National Highway 6 in Assam’s Hojai district on Sunday.
The incident took place at the Salbagan area of Dabaka.
According to the reports, the truck bearing the registration number AS 09 AC 8981 was coming from Diphu towards Dabaka when it caught fire.
Hundreds of vehicles were left stuck on the National Highway 6 as a result of the incident’s severe traffic congestion.
Meanwhile, the locals alleged that the fire brigade arrived an hour late after the incident.
However, there is no report of any human casualty in the incident.
