Assam: Mystery Surrounds Woman’s Death in Tinsukia District, Allegations of Foul Play Arise
Guwahati, 24th April: The death of Chanda Majhi in the Bisakupi area of Tinsukia district has left the community in shock and raised serious questions about foul play. Chanda Majhi, accompanied by her husband Vinod Bagh, passed away on April 23 under mysterious circumstances, sparking allegations of coercion and attempts on her life by her own family.
Reports indicate that despite receiving medical treatment with the assistance of her father’s family, Chanda Majhi’s condition deteriorated, leading to her demise. However, upon the family’s arrival to hand over Chanda Majhi’s body to her husband’s family, an altercation erupted, revealing disturbing allegations.
Family members of the deceased allege that Chanda Majhi did not die of natural causes but was instead poisoned by her in-laws. This shocking revelation has prompted the family to demand justice, resulting in a protest at the Doom Dooma police station.
