Assam: Nagaon Police Seize Narcotic Syrup in Successful Anti-Narcotics Operation

Guwahati, 28th June: In a significant crackdown on narcotics trafficking, Nagaon Police in Assam conducted a successful anti-narcotics operation resulting in the seizure of a substantial quantity of controlled substances and the arrest of a suspect.

Led by Sub-Inspector Utpal Baishya of Sadar Police Station, the operation targeted illegal drug activities in the region. During the raid, law enforcement officials uncovered 100 bottles of Triprolidine Hydrochloride and Codeine Phosphate syrup hidden inside a vehicle.

Triprolidine Hydrochloride and Codeine Phosphate are medications known to produce narcotic-like effects and are prone to misuse and abuse.

Following the discovery, the police detained one individual linked to the illegal possession of these substances. The suspect is now in custody and faces legal action as authorities continue their investigation into the incident.

The seizure underscores Nagaon Police’s commitment to combatting drug trafficking and ensuring public safety in the region. Authorities remain vigilant against illicit drug activities, aiming to curb the supply and misuse of narcotics within the community.
