Assam: NDA Announces Candidate for Sidli Legislative Assembly Bye-Election
Guwahati: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Axom Gana Parishad (AGP), has officially announced its candidate for the upcoming bye-election in the 31 No. Sidli Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC).
Raju Kumar Narzary, General Secretary of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), disclosed that Nirmal Kumar Brahma will be contesting for the seat.
Nirmal Kumar Brahma is a well-known political figure, previously serving as a Member of the Council Legislative Assembly (MCLA) for the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
Currently, he holds the position of Chirang district committee president for UPPL, bringing a wealth of local experience and political acumen to the race.
This bye-election is part of a larger electoral process in Assam, where polls will also be held in Bongaigaon, Behali, Samaguri, and Dholai constituencies. Voting is scheduled for November 13, with vote counting to follow on November 23.
