Assam: New Picnic Spot Inaugurated at Manas National Park Along Beki River

Assam: A new picnic spot was officially inaugurated on the morning of December 20 at Manas National Park, located beside the scenic Beki River, as the winter season sets in.

The site, situated in the Nayanguri area under the Bahbari range of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, aims to attract nature enthusiasts and picnickers.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of the Forest Picnic Management Committee along with various other local committees.

The newly developed spot features abundant parking space to accommodate visitors, with parking fees fixed for different vehicle types. Buses are charged Rs 500, travelers Rs 400, Magic vehicles Rs 300, private four-wheelers Rs 200, and two-wheelers Rs 50.

Visitors can also enjoy additional activities such as safaris and rafting, making the location a perfect blend of recreation and nature exploration. The site is equipped with separate toilet facilities for men and women, ensuring convenience for all picnickers.

This new initiative is expected to enhance tourism in Manas National Park while providing a well-maintained space for families and groups to enjoy the winter holidays.
