Guwahati: The traffic on national highway number 37 in Nagaon district of Assam was blocked after a massive tree fell on the highway on Wednesday.
The incident took place at Burapahar in Kaliabor of the district. The tree was uprooted and fell on the highway as a result of the region’s constant rainfall.
Several vehicles were left stranded as a result of the route being blocked by the tree. Vehicles could be seen lining up to resume moving in a long line.
Meanwhile, the restoration efforts will probably be hampered by the persistent rain that has remained in the area this morning.
