Guwahati, 20th May: In a gripping turn of events, the elusive dacoit, Latif Ali, who made a sensational escape from the Hatigaon police station, has been successfully recaptured. Following an intensive operation by the city police, Latif Ali was tracked down and arrested from a rented house on Neelkamal Road.
The saga began on Sunday morning when Latif Ali was initially apprehended by Hatigaon police in connection with a series of robbery cases. However, in a daring maneuver, the dacoit managed to slip away from police custody, reportedly fleeing with a handcuff.
In response to his escape, multiple police teams launched a widespread manhunt across the city to locate the fugitive.
After a relentless pursuit, a breakthrough was finally achieved when a police team traced Latif’s whereabouts to a nondescript rented house on Neelkamal Road, leading to the successful apprehension of the elusive dacoit.
