Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs, Assam Police arrested one person for allegedly being involved in illegal drug peddling in Kamrup district on Sunday.
The arrestee has been identified as Ramesh Ali.
The operations were led by the Chhaygaon police conducted in the Chhaygaon area of the district.
During the operations, the police had raided the house of Ali at Tukrapara village under Goroimari Tehsil of Chhaygaon.
According to reports, around 29 containers filled with narcotic substances has been recovered from the accused.
Moreover, the police further recovered empty containers from his possession.
It may be mentioned that the accused was running his operations in the Goroimari region for a long time.
