Guwahati, 8th January: In a tragic incident, one was killed and another severely injured in a road accident that took place in Jamugurihat of Assam’s Sonitpur district.
The incident took place on National Highway 15 of Dhalaibil.
As per sources, the accident occurred between a vehicle bearing registration number AS-12-P-7820 which was coming from Tezpur after which collided with a speeding bike, bearing registration number AS-12-AB-5535.
The biker identified as Raktim Bhagwati died on the spot while the injured Saju Bora sustained severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
Upon receiving the information, the police immediately arrived at the scene.
The body of Raktim Bhagwati was taken to Jamuguri police station for further proceedings, including post-mortem arrangements.
Police sources revealed that the deceased, Raktim Bhagwati, hailed from Nagsankar in Chatia, while the injured individual, Saju Bora, is a resident of Lichubari.
